Brrrrrrrrr it was freezing out there today. I hit the Jones Beach area for some fishing with Pete McDonald from Fishingjones.com this afternoon. We saw tons of gannets but not one fish. There were a number of surfcasters up and down the beach but we did not seem them catching fish either... I'm still waiting for the call from Montauk saying that the herring run has started. Should not be much longer.... Stay tuned.
